Bhagwati Charan Verma

Biography
Bhagwati Charan Verma was born on August 30, 1903, at Safipur in Unnao district, Uttar Pradesh [3][4], where he received his early education, thereafter he studied in Thesophical School [5], and went on to do his B.A. L.L.B. from Allahabad University [4]. He work at Calcutta Film Corporation for a while, followed by editing a weekly magazine, titled ‘Vichaar’. He also did screenwriting in Bombay, and later edited a Hindi daily ‘Navjeevan’; and finally he started writing independently in 1957.
He remained the Hindi Advisor at All India Radio, Lucknow for a while, and later in 1978, he was nominated to the Upper House of Indian Parliament, Rajya Sabha [6], and died on October 5, 1981. Today, a park is name after him, in his birthplace, the town of Safipur[7]
